They were helpful in telephone conversations and the entire process went smoothly. Thank you homeland for such a stressfree process.Posted on CherelleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My brother passed away abroad and I called a few repatriation companies and Homeland International was practically the only one that provided an "all inclusive" service. Homeland handled everything from the collecting of the body abroad, right through to bringing my brother to the chosen funeral parlour in London. I noticed the other companies had a lot of "extras" at an additional price and as you know repatriation is not the cheapest! Malcom handled my brothers case and he was superb! He was very courteous and empathetic and was very informative. Where there were any changes, Malcom ensured to keep me updated every step of the way. I would definitely recommend this company in the future. Big thanks to Malcom and the team.Posted on PaulTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dear Homeland International, On behalf of the family of Constance Phoebe Echodu and myself, I am writing to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and professionalism you provided during the repatriation of Constance’s remains from London to Kampala, Uganda. Navigating the loss of a close friend is difficult, and the complexity of international logistics and legal requirements felt overwhelming. Your expertise, steady guidance, and attention to detail provided us with immense comfort during this dark time. The family was particularly moved by your regular communication, the dignity with which Constance was handled, and the seamless management of the paperwork. Knowing she was in such capable and respectful hands allowed the family to focus on grieving and preparing for her final farewell. Please extend our thanks to your entire team and the international partners you coordinated with. Your service went far beyond professional obligation; it was a profound act of kindness that the family and the East African community in the UK will never forget. How Body Repatriation from the USA works:
Homeland International provides everything required for the repatriation of your loved one from the USA. Typically, a repatriation usually takes between 5 to 7 days however in certain situations, such as if a coroner or the police are involved, this may extend the time frame slightly. Once in our care, our team will care for the person who has died, complete the embalming which is required for repatriation and prepare the coffin for international transportation back home.

Repatriation from Hawaii
We are able to support the repatriation of remains from Hawaii. The process followed is similar to other US states however the process can sometimes be complicated if there is a delay in appointing a funeral home. Hospitals in Hawaii do not have the appropriate mortuary facilities so they often contract with a local funeral home who will collect your loved one and transport them into their care. This sounds helpful but it leads to bills and invoices which are very high, we then have to negotiate with these companies to start the repatriation procedure and transfer into our care. This can be eliminated if you appoint us or another repatriation company to start procedures right away. We can then transport your loved one directly into our care before the hospital contacts their partnered funeral home.
Once the repatriation process is complete, we are able to book flights to most international destinations, even if they require to connect in the USA.
Repatriation from Alaska
We are able to support the repatriation of remains from Alaska. The process followed is similar to other US States however the process can sometimes be complicated if there is a delay in appointing a funeral home.
Once the repatriation process is complete, we are able to book flights to most international destinations, even if they require to connect in other US or Canadian airports.
Repatriation from Guam, Micronesia and other US Territories
We are able to support the repatriation of remains from Guam, Micronesia and other US Territories. The process followed is similar to other US states however the process can sometimes be complicated if there is a delay in appointing a funeral home. As with repatriations from Hawaii, hospitals in these locations do not have the appropriate mortuary facilities so they often contract with a local funeral home who will collect your loved one and transport them into their care. Whilst this sounds helpful, it tends to lead to high invoices and bills, and we have to negotiate with these companies before starting the repatriation and transfer into our care. This step can be eliminated if you appoint us or another repatriation company to start procedures right away. We can then transport your loved one directly into our care before the hospital makes contact with their partnered funeral home.
Once the repatriation process is complete, we are able to book flights to most international destinations, even if they require us to connect at another international airport such as Japan, Singapore or Dubai.
