How Body Repatriation from France works:
Homeland International provides everything required for the repatriation of your loved one from France. Typically, a repatriation usually takes between 5 to 7 days however in certain situations, such as if a coroner or the police are involved, this may extend the time frame slightly.
Once in our care, our team will care for the person who has died, complete the embalming which is required for repatriation and prepare the coffin for international transportation back home.

The main representatives, (Amy Roffe and Richard Benn) were most helpful and understanding. The only improvement, in our opinion, would be to have an update on the day the body is leaving the UK , as this was an extremely worrying and emotional experience. The coffin provided was excellent and saved us a lot of headache once in Jamaica. Thank you Homeland Repatriation Services and your team. On behalf of all the Knight Family, Mrs Caroline Knight. My dad came to spend the summee holiday with me. unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Cancer and passed on within a very short time frame. It was a very stressful time for me coupled with the fact that i was 1 month post having a baby. I had no idea where to start, was giving the web address of Homeland International, so took a leap of faith with them My experience with them was amazing. They were very Empathetic, professional, well organised, friendly, easily accessible. All my questions were answered , I had no reason to be concerned. There was no delay or lack of communication. They literally took the load off me. I went for the basic casket and it was best decision I made, it was a beautiful casket with a solid wood. I was worried that my dad would be unrecognisable after the embalming, but that was not the case. He looked exactly the same, was well dressed in his owm cloths and was given clean shave . I could go on and on. I am truly grateful for their service, and I will recommend them to anyone in need of a repatriation service. Repatriation from Corsica
We are able to support the repatriation of remains from Corsica. The process followed is the same as the rest of France however it can sometimes be complicated if there is a delay in appointing a funeral home.
Hospitals in Corsica do not have the appropriate mortuary facilities, so they often contract with a local funeral home who will collect your loved one and transport them into their care. This sounds helpful but it leads to bills and invoices which are very high, we then have to negotiate with these companies to start the repatriation procedure and transfer your loved one into our care. This can be eliminated if you appoint us or another repatriation company to start procedures right away. We can then transport directly into our care before the hospital contacts their appointed funeral home.
Once the repatriation process is complete, we are able to book flights to most international destinations from Ajaccio or Bastia, even if they require to connect in France.
