How Repatriation of Remains to Spain works
Homeland International provides everything required for repatriation of remains to Spain. Repatriation usually takes between 5 to 7 days however, certain situations, such as coroner involvement, could extend the time frame slightly. The team at Homeland International will care for the person who has died, complete the embalming which is required for repatriation and prepare the coffin for international transportation.

Documents Required for Repatriation of Remains to Spain
There is paperwork which needs to be applied for and obtained prior to repatriation. Some of these we require you to provide to us, the remainder is managed by Homeland International. This is described below:
- Passport of the deceased person
- Two Death Certificates
- Homeland International Authorisation Form (this will be sent to you for completion)
- Out of England Certificate
- Freedom from Infection Certificate
- Embalming Certificate
- Funeral Directors Declaration Certificate
- Air Waybill document from airline

We are usually able to arrange flights to most international airports in Spain and its islands. On arrival, it is usually the company or person appointed by the family who will collect. If, however, you require a recommendation or assistance with services in Spain then we have reliable contacts willing to assist. Airports we are usually able to repatriate to in Spain are:
