How body repatriation from Croatia works:
Homeland International supports with everything required for repatriation from Croatia. Repatriation usually takes between 5 to 7 days however, certain situations, such as coroner or police involvement, could extend the time frame slightly. Homeland International have a number of locations whereby we will care for the person who has died, complete the embalming which is required for repatriation and prepare the coffin for international transportation back home.
We are usually able to arrange flights back to most international destinations from airports in Croatia such as Dubrovnik, Pula, Split and Zagreb. On arrival back to the destination country, Homeland International can support with the customs clearance at the airport and the transport back to the home town/city. We can arrange repatriation from anywhere in Croatia including other locations such as Dalmatian island, Hvar and Šolta.
Documentation Required for Repatriation of Remains from Croatia
There is paperwork which needs to be applied for and obtained prior to repatriation. Some of these we require you to provide to us, the remainder is managed by Homeland International. This is described below
